Emmerson Pool Hire
Emmerson House, School Lane, Redbourne, DN21 4QN
1. Acknowledgment of Responsibility The hirer, being at least 18 years of age, accepts full responsibility for the use of the swimming pool and all associated facilities, including but not limited to the building, changing areas, walkways, gardens, driveways, and car parking areas at Emmerson House during the period of hire.
2. Familiarisation with SOPs and EOPs The hirer agrees to familiarise themselves with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) provided by Emmerson Pool Hire prior to commencing any session.
3. Supervision and No Lifeguard on Duty The hirer acknowledges that no lifeguard or supervision is provided by Emmerson Pool Hire. The hirer is solely responsible for ensuring appropriate supervision of all participants, and for maintaining safety throughout the property during their period of hire.
4. Assumption of Risk The hirer understands that swimming and associated activities, including the use of walkways, driveways, and communal areas, carry inherent risks. The hirer voluntarily assumes all risks connected with the use of Emmerson House and its facilities.
5. Release from Liability The hirer releases, waives, discharges, and agrees not to bring any claim against Emmerson Pool Hire, Emmerson House, its owners, officers, agents, or employees for any injury, loss, damage, or death sustained on the property (including the swimming pool, walkways, driveways, gardens, parking areas, or any other part of the premises), whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
6. Indemnification The hirer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Emmerson Pool Hire, Emmerson House, and their owners, officers, agents, or employees from any liability, loss, damage, or costs arising from their use of the premises or the presence of their guests/invitees anywhere on the property.
7. Damage Liability The hirer will be liable for any damage caused to Emmerson House or its facilities through negligence or misuse during their hire period and agrees to reimburse Emmerson Pool Hire for the full cost of repair.
8. Scope of Agreement These terms apply to all activities and all areas of Emmerson House and its grounds accessed by the hirer and their guests in connection with their booking.
9. Acknowledgment of Understanding By making a booking and/or attending Emmerson House, the hirer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, including the waiver of liability and indemnity provisions. The hirer acknowledges that they are entering into this agreement voluntarily and that it is legally binding.
